The best knuckle you can get in Cologne is here! The portions are ample and special requests and allergies are always catered for. The staff is very friendly and courteous and the service is just exemplary. A relaxed and quiet atmosphere awaits you here and the fact that the restaurant is in the middle of the city center, where you actually prefer to exclude tourists, has kept the quality here for years! Always my pleasure! And a big thank you for the delicious evenings I was able to spend here!

Unfortunately only until 7 p.m. in the kitchen, after paying directly, the service was very rude and rude, not even a goodbye or a friendly explanation why the kitchen is closed so early. Unfortunately not to be recommended. The incident was on a Thursday evening on September 3rd, 2020

The Keule is a beautiful Kölsch inn. The restaurant is located directly on the Heumarkt and also has plenty of outdoor seating. You should definitely pre-order here, because if you are lucky, it is usually difficult. The menu is and and regional. In my opinion, however, a few dishes too small. That could and should be done. The dishes we saw and ate were outstanding. Simple but good. Price / performance ratio was ok. The service was very friendly and attentive. Gladly again.

On August 30th, 2020 we celebrated my father-in-law's 92nd birthday with 15 people in the club. Service, food and location can only be recommended ? all corona regulations were adhered to. We will be back definitely. Many thanks to Keule for an unforgettable 92nd birthday.

Beer and service was very good. Didn't try any of the food although options seemed limited compared to other pubs around.

Tipycal German food in the square. Service was fast and the portion was big . There was only one waiter so she was running all over the places to serve everyone , so I think the restaurant could lend her a hand .

Food tastes delicious. Schnitzel was tender and crispy. The staff was very friendly and responded to the requests. It is worth going there.

The food tastes great here. And I've rarely seen such friendly and caring hosts. I can highly recommend the club - and the super tasty hamburger! Many thanks to all of you! I would love to come back.

The best German pork feet ever (menu number 320)! The portion is really big and the service attitude is good, just wait for the meal, the dessert apple roll is also delicious, the blue ribbon pork chop (number 330) is ordinary

Big portions, tasty food, good location

Great and friendly staff that easily communicated to us in English. The Pork Schnitzel with Black Pudding was very impressive - possibly the best Black Pudding I have ever had!

Excellent food, had the Himmel un Äd for €9.80. Really sizeable portions for a reasonable price. Service was really quick and friendly. Nice sociable atmosphere.

A very good restaurant to eat authentic German food! The food is well-cooked, plentiful, and not very expensive. The staff speak both German and English, but the menu is only in German, which can make it difficult. I tried the pork knuckle, Schinkenhaxe, which is 1.7 kg or 3.75 lbs. While the waiter did warn me, I was still surprised at the massive size. Recommend splitting this dish with a friend. Just a heads-up, I'm not sure if all German restaurants are like this, but they do not offer "free tap water" and you are obliged to either buy water or another drink, so be prepared for that.

What fab service! Lovely restaurant, lovely atmosphere and fabulous staff. Had a lovely schnitzel meal although I taught my son how to make schnitzel and I prefer his ? Would reccomend a visit for sure.

Food was a great experience, but the waitstaff although as helpful and chatty as could be were really rushed. Obviously i visited during a busy time of year, but 1 more server in the restaurant could well have gained it 5 stars. EDIT: as i said , the staff that were there were as good as they could be, given the pressure they were under. Now that i understand that pressure was due to unforseen circumstance there is no way i could deny the 5 star review. Also to add a couple of points to my original review, the atmosphere was amazing, its was alive busy and chatty and i felt very comfortable as the room was the perfect temperature for a break from the cold winter outside. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Good Kolsch, good hearty food.

I did a lot of research to find the perfect pork knuckle in Koln and I am happy I did. The food and service as Keule was simply superb. All 4 dishes were outstanding, but the Pork knuckle with the beer sauce and the Goulash soup, were simply out of this world. The Saurkraut was a winner too, so fresh and crisp! Well done to this outstanding team!

Perfect place to hangout.

When the quality of the service meets the quality of the food, you get to eat in one of the greatest places in town. We really enjoyed our time there, despite the busy night. We ordered the Beef goulash and the cordon bleu, with an apfel strudel, and we found it of a really good quality.

Super delicious and great service! The waitress is very nice.

In addition to the prime location, they serve the best pork knee I've ever eaten in life! 1.7kg, just amazing !!!

Nice home cooked food

There is a third of the menu menu, Kölsch sauce is really delicious! I felt a little bit to eat both! But the staff was nice and not crowded! A German friend said that it would be good to eat other authentic German dishes besides a schoolgirl :)

Food was good, service was not. Wrong food and drinks were ordered. Billing was also unclear and confusing, the waitress did not bring us a printed out bill with our order clearly listed, instead all we got was a hastily written-down total

Best customer service and pork knuckle ever tried !

Joa fully okay, the service at the table was typical Kölle and also full of verve. I think that the colleagues who were down the counter could be a bit friendlier.

Friendly staff and wonderful food

Horrible experience after meal, it seems that the food had something wrong, makes me want to split and had diarrhea on other people also, especially we all order different meals, so disappointed

Had an amazing pork schnitzel. The sides of fried onions and bacon-friend potatoes just delightful on a winter evening. Staff were friendly, and they had an English menu. Worth coming back!

I went to see a Google review, and it was delicious. I ate 1.4 euros and a couple of euros and a couple of beers. I ended up with too many. I left it with a baked potato. I made it with potatoes, saucers.

Good food

The Schwannen line was 19.9 euros for one, and the sheep are really good. It's crispy on the outside, but it's a bit crunchy on me (it's armor ...). It is a little squeezed but it is okay if you eat clown soup with a side sauce. But actually the potatoes are much tastier than the meat. It was a restaurant that I could not think of eating but it was so delicious!

This place is overated. The waiter was not friendly and impatient taking our orders. The pork knuckle was dry. We had the beef goulash, chicken and salad that was just average. There are.better place ie restaurant to eat in Cologne.
